Specmeters.eu - Wireless is a very practical wireless measurement system for monitoring temperature, humidity, CO2, pressure, light intensity etc. Data are send through a 868 MHz radio signal to a basestation. This base station is connected to a computer, at which all data are presented. Data are stored real time and can be viewed directly in Sensorgraph or exported.
The maximum distance for a sensor device to the basestation is between 1000m and 2000m in the field (free line of sight). Within a building, this is reduced to a still respectable 100 m till 250 m. This distance is depending on the size and construction of the wall.
A user can set up an alarm to be warned at any threshold which is passed. This alarm can be sent out as an email or even a text-message. Data can be studied by internet worldwide.
Costs for this package are generally lower than wired systems. The biggest advantage is the level of flexibility and that it will be ready to use within 5 minutes.
